To enable/disable USB port.

  • Hello everybody.
    Today I am going to teach you how to enable or disable USB port using registry key. Mostly in any organization or in any office there are many risk occurring due to open USB port.
    For an instance some workers of the company may uses all the data and other important things from the office which might cause office to lose lots of data. Another thing is that every workers of the company may not be reliable and honest.
    Some might think of some works that exploits the company's prestige.Another thing It is also applicable for the home pc (personal computer) so as to avoid kids and other guest to use USB for various purpose which are troublesome to us.
    You might have known other tricks also but I think this would work.try it once.

    1.To disable USB.
    -Open run program through start(window key+R shortcut).
    -Then in run type regedit.
    -Now follow HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\USBSTOR.
    -Now on the right plane of Registry Editor you could see START.
    -Double Click on it then a box will appear.
    -On that box instead of 3 you change it with 4.
    -Be sure that the given number base are in hexadecimal number.
    -If not first make it hexadecimal by choosing hexadecimal as base.
    -Now quit registry and you are done with it.

    2.To re-enable USB.
    -Open run program through start(window key+R shortcut).
    -Then in run type regedit.
    -Now follow HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\USBSTOR.
    -Now on the right plane of Registry Editor you could see START.
    -Double Click on it then a box will appear.

    -Now quit registry and you are done with it.

    Does it works?
    Though idea are similar in every tricks info but I had tried it hard to make it easy to
    understand and perform the task easily.
